Welcome to the artistry of Roberta Kramlich
Roberta was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1992, and moved to Seattle-WA in 2016, where she lives with her husband and their four animals. Always a sensitive, creative kid, she could only make sense of the world around her by expressing her emotions, thoughts and insights through art and have found in visual art, design and music her true home.
“I got told a lot that being sensitive was a weakness. Here’s to giving it proper meaning and embracing the super-power of feeling things deeply and using that for the good of everything around us.”
Roberta attended the Nove de Julho University in SP where she graduated BA in Industrial Design, as well as the ETEC Albert Einstein where she gained a Professional-Technical Degree in Interior Design and spent a few years designing people’s dream homes. After moving to the US, she dedicated her time to writing, drawing and painting as she navigated in more depth her personal and professional identity. Performing as a nanny has also been a part of Roberta’s trajectory and a surprisingly rewarding experience for her as seeing the world through babies’ eyes feels refreshing and incredibly inspiring to her. She believes a true artist sees art everywhere!
The Alla Prima Bootcamp hosted and mentored by the incredible Chelsea Lang was the missing puzzle piece Roberta needed in art education to be able to bloom as the Artist she was meant to be.
Roberta’s style can be described as full of contrast in vibrant saturated colors with fun abstract elements when approaching either portraits, or animals, or any dream-like subjects always with an imaginative twist. Very influenced by music and the conceptualism in pop albums, she sees her artwork as “pop projects loaded with references yet always open to interpretation”. You’ll want to go back and look again…
